Michael R. Herz joined Forman Holt Eliades & Ravin LLC in May 2011.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Herz worked in bankruptcy and litigation practices with firms in both New Jersey and New York. In bankruptcy, Mr. Herz has diverse experience in representing bankruptcy trustees in estate administration, the rights of creditors, including prominent financial institutions, and consumer debtors, throughout the bankruptcy process, including in bankruptcy-related litigation. This experience is supplemented by varied work in civil and commercial litigation at all stages through trial.
Mr. Herz frequently writes on bankruptcy relevant issues, with his most recent authorships, “Automatic Bank Freezes: Protecting Estate Assets or Impeding Consumer Debtors Rights?” and “The Scarlet D: Bankruptcy Filing and Employment Discrimination,” appearing in the American Bankruptcy Institute Journal’s November 2010 and April 2011 editions, respectively. Mr. Herz is also active with the American Bankruptcy Institute generally, including serving as a member of the Institute’s Circuit Court Opinion Editorial Board.
While in law school, Mr. Herz served as a Notes and Comments Editor of the Brooklyn Journal of International Law, and was a recipient of his school’s prestigious Prince Merit Scholarship.
